Education:

From an early age, Donald Jackman, DDS, had an interest in dentistry.  Jackman said, “Every kid I knew complained that it hurt to go to the dentist, so I figured maybe my dentist was different.  It stuck with me.” Jackman, graduated from Texas A&M University in 1980. He had a passion for service which led him to the United States Army, where he flew Huey’s (the iconic Vietnam helicopter) for 5 years. “After five years of flying, the Army was going to give me a ground assignment for three years, but I was ready for my next challenge.  I remembered how my dentist made me feel, so I went to dental school.”  Donald Jackman, DDS, graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio Dental School in 1990. 

Professional Career as a Dentist:

Jackman began his career in private practice, traveling to care for patients in Corpus Christi and San Antonio.  After many years of private practice, he had a chance encounter with the Texas Association of Public Health Centers. “My passion for service was reignited, and I couldn’t resist a post back in Aggieland.”  Jackman joined the HealthPoint team in June of 2020.

Jackman still loves to travel!  He has visited 22 countries and 49 of our great states.  He’s a proud husband and father of 2 grown children.
