Biography:

Meet Provider Amber Simpson

Amber Simpson, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, has been with HealthPoint since February 2021. She is a resident of Centerville and has a growing list of healthy, happy patients ranging in age from infancy to seniors.  

Education:

Born and raised in Conroe, Texas, Simpson, has a passion for helping others that began at a young age. She started her career as a Paramedic on an ambulance providing emergency care. During this time, she realized she wanted to develop long-term relationships with those she treated. For this reason, she pursued her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from The University of Houston-Victoria. Simpson has spent most of her career as an Emergency Room Nurse in The Woodlands, TX, at Memorial Hermann Hospital. She then chose to continue her education by becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. Simpson obtained her FNP from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, TX. 

Professional Career:

Simpson focuses on Family Medicine and helping her community become healthier individuals. She enjoys assisting under-served citizens and strives to help manage care that can be affordable for the patient’s needs financially and emotionally. Simpson is thankful to be practicing medicine in her community. She believes in patient-centered care for citizens in rural communities. Her goal in school was to provide treatment to patients in the smaller towns and bring her healthcare experiences to her hometown.

Simpson enjoys being a mom to her several children and spending time with her family and husband, James. Time outside in the country is one of their favorite things to do together. Simpson especially loves plants and flowers and traveling. She is active with her church community – Cowboy Church of Leon County.
