Welcome to the January Training Tips!
Welcome to the January Training Tips blog post – The first of many in 2023!
We’re back with a few Training Tips from the Training and Development department! This month, you’ll find instructions and reminders for navigating templates in eCW. 2023 HealthPoint workshops and available trainings are: NEO (General & CLIN/PM), HealthPoint Mentor Workshops, Customer Excellence, Orange Frog, and BLS (CPR).
o
PM Training Tips:
- Remember to Change Medicaid MCO in eCW.
- N/S policy – make sure that the patient is educated before counting no-shows.
- If the patient has two addresses, make sure they are typed in the correct address box.
o
Clinical:
When a patient has a CDSS alert for Depression Screening: Make sure to use the HPC: PHQ-2 w/intervention template. This template will expand automatically into the PHQ-9 if the patient scores a 2 or higher on the PHQ-2. It will also place the necessary “Intervention” flag for UDS credit.
o
UDS credit on Pediatric Patients:
For UDS credit, pediatric patients between the ages of 3 and 17 need a documented BMI and documentation of BOTH healthy eating and physical activity counseling. This UDS measure is NOT based on BMI. Pediatric patients in the above age ranges need to be provided with physical activity and diet counseling during acute and follow-up visits. This can be done by giving the parent or guardian educational handouts while rooming the patient and merging the HPC: Pedi Diet and Exercise Counseling template.
