The HealthPoint Leadership Survey Results are Here!

HOT OFF THE PRESS: Our HealthPoint Leadership Survey 2024 results are in! This survey has provided great insight into our strengths, as well as areas of improvement, so thank you for participating! We wanted to share the results of the leadership survey ASAP. Stay tuned in the coming months for the strategies our Board and Senior Leaders develop to continue our quest to be the BEST place to work! 

As a reminder, the HealthPoint Leadership Survey 2024 prompts were:

• I believe my supervisor or manager demonstrates effective leadership overall
• I feel that my supervisor effectively communicates goals and expectations to me and my team
• I feel supported by my supervisor in my day-to-day work responsibilities
• I find my supervisor effective in providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement

We are thrilled with the overall positive responses. On every question, over half of the responses were “strongly agree” or “agree”, but the work does not stop here. We are committed to continuing positive feedback by discussing and implementing new strategies for continued improvement. Stay tuned! Welcome to the 2023 Holiday Décor Contest page!

It is time for the 2023 Holiday Décor Contest,  but we would be remiss if we did not tell you what a GREAT job you did during the last two years! In 2022, the winners were Biggest WOW factor: Franklin Clinic, and Most Creative: Somerville Clinic!

The rules are the same as last year – You can review them below:

• It is voluntary!
• Decor can go up beginning 12/1/2023.
• Submissions must be made to MarCom no later than 12/22/2023 at 5 PM.
  • You can email it or send it to our Dropbox from your phone! 
  • 
• Winners will be announced in the January 2024 Newsletter.
• Removal should happen during the week between Christmas 12/25/2023 and New Year’s Eve 12/31/2023
• Be sure your decorations are secular (not religious) in nature.
  • Manger displays, religious content, or symbols should not be in your plans. We serve and employ a diverse group. We want everyone to feel welcome and encouraged to participate.
• Things like snowflakes, trees, tinsel, garland, snowmen, candy canes, reindeer, and jolly Dr. Nic are encouraged!
• Steer clear of anything political or controversial.
• Above all, remember basic safety:
  • Keep walkways and high-traffic areas clear.
  • Involve your clinic manager! They can help ensure your fantastic creations don’t obstruct cameras or inadvertently trigger alarms.
  • Place décor in unused corners of your clinics; they should always be stable and well secured.
  • No duct tape and prayers – Cords never go under rugs or pinched behind furniture and high-heat items should always be avoided.  NEVER plug too many strands into an outlet.  Follow the rules so we don’t ruin the fun.
  • If you’re going to be on a ladder, have someone help you.
  • Don’t go all Griswold on us and shut the electrical grid down.
  • 

• HAVE FUN & get creative!

As always, there will be TWO winners, one for each of the following categories:

1. Biggest WOW Factor
2. Most Creative

This year, the winners get a clinic/department exclusive JEANS DAY, $6 per person, from MarCom for a coffee or sonic run, breakfast tacos, or whatever treats you’d like. Oh, and we cannot forget that BRAGGING RIGHTS are on the line!

TACHC Employee Engagement Survey Results are in for 2023!

HOT OFF THE PRESS: Our annual TACHC Employee Engagement Survey results are in! HealthPoint scored higher than the Texas Health Center average in all applicable categories, and HealthPoint made an overall improvement in every category vs 2022. We wanted to share the results ASAP. Stay tuned in the coming months for the strategies our Board and Senior Leaders develop to continue our quest to be the BEST place to work! 

As a reminder, the TACHC Employee Engagement Survey prompts were:

• I know what is expected of me at work
• I have all the resources and equipment to do my work correctly and efficiently
• At work, I have the opportunity to do what I do best every day
• In the last seven days, I have received recognition or praise for doing good work
• My supervisor, or someone at work, seems to care about me as a person
• My supervisor has the knowledge and skills to guide me
• There is someone at work who encourages my development
• At work, my opinions seem to count
• I can handle the stress of work
• I have a good relationship with my colleagues in my own department

Our focus areas going into 2023 were:

While we aim for continuous improvement in all areas, Senior Leaders chose to develop strategies for improvement on our lowest scores, which were in the following categories in 2022:

• In the last seven days, I have received recognition or praise for doing good work. CHECK!

Effective February 8, 2023, I will no longer be practicing at HealthPoint’s Hearne Clinic. It has been a great honor to care for you and your family over the years, and it is not easy for me to leave.

I am pleased to inform you that you can continue your care at HealthPoint’s Hearne Clinic without interruption. You will have the opportunity to meet and establish a relationship with one of our highly skilled providers:

While I am sad to leave my patients, I know you are in capable hands and will welcome the new providers with the same warmth I experienced. HealthPoint is invested in the Hearne community and committed to being the BEST place to receive primary care.

TACHC Employee Engagement Survey Results are in for 2022!

The results from our annual TACHC Employee Engagement Survey are in! HealthPoint scored higher than the Texas Health Center average in several categories! Below you will read a brief description of where we improved and where we still have work to do. 

We saw improvement in the following categories:

• Opportunity to do what you do best
• Recognition for good work
• Developmental encouragement
• Your opinions mattering
• Teamwork
• Communication between departments
• Knowing your job is important
• Progress updates
• Work/Life Balance
• COVID-19 response and communication
• Safe spaces to share concerns
• Overall satisfaction at work

We lost a bit of ground in three areas:

• Knowing what is expected of you at work
• Resources and equipment to do your work correctly and efficiently
• Leader training

While we aim for continuous improvement in all areas, these scores are still among our best overall. Senior Leaders have chosen to develop strategies for improvement on our lowest scores, which are in the following categories:

• I feel that there is good communication between departments.
• The Health Center works well as a cohesive team.
• In the last 7 days, I have received recognition or praise for doing good work.

In the coming weeks, Senior Leaders will visit each clinic to share TACHC survey results and seek feedback.

We invite all employees to attend these sessions! While we did not meet our Strategic Goal of improving by 4%, we are celebrating the small wins. Each step is progress toward achieving our vision of being the best place for patients to receive care, the best place for providers to practice medicine, and the BEST place for employees to work!
