Biography:

Meet your Rockdale & Hearne Health Care Provider  –  Karla Woods, MSN, APRN, FNP-C!

Education:

From an early age, Karla Woods, MSN, APRN, FNP-C had a dream of becoming a health care provider.  In pursuit of this passion, she attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Go Cru), where she obtained her Bachelors of Science in Nursing as a registered nurse in 2009. She went on to work as an Registered Nurse in a Hematology/Oncology unit for 5 years. During that time, she decided she wanted to expand her nursing career.  So she returned to UMHB to obtain her Masters of Science in Nursing as a family nurse practitioner in 2014. She is board certified with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Professional Career as a Health Care Provider:

“I enjoy practicing as a family nurse practitioner because it allows me the opportunity to provide comprehensive care from pediatrics to geriatrics. Growing up in rural Cameron, TX I dreamed of providing medical care in a community much like my own.”

“My free time is spent with my family & three daughters – Raelyn, Kamryn, and Kailyn. Being involved in various sports and organizations, they keep me going!! We especially enjoy cheering on the Yoemen and Crusaders. We are also members of Marlow Baptist Church in Cameron.”
