Lara Thibodeaux, FNP-C – Family Nurse Practitioner at HealthPoint – Franklin Clinic
Lara is a dedicated nurse practitioner whose experience transcends the clinic. Her background includes experience in rural healthcare, development of an in-home healthcare model, preceptor to family and acute care nurse practitioner students through Texas A&M Corpus Christi and Texas Tech University, and service in legislative and leadership positions in the Texas Nurse Practitioners organization.
Lara’s career spans over 20 years and includes not only rural care but also emergency department care, clinic management, providing hospice exams, and home healthcare.
Lara chose HealthPoint because of her passion for rural healthcare and for caring for the community she calls home. HealthPoint’s mission matches her desire to make quality care easier to access for families in Franklin and the surrounding area. She is proud to serve a place where she lives, works, and raises her family. Laura considers it an honor to care for neighbors, friends, and families in the same community that has shaped her life.
Lara works, lives, plays, and serves Franklin, Texas, where she has been a lifelong resident. She graduated from Franklin High School, Class of 1989, and is married to Terry Thibodeaux. Together, they have 5 children. Parker and Sara attend Texas A&M University, Carson and Gaige are students in Franklin ISD, and Tristan is living in Georgetown, TX, studying to be an electrician.
She returned to her hometown to practice primary care at HealthPoint Clinic in Franklin, where she has proudly served the Franklin community since 2013. She has spent many years in the community, both volunteering and coaching in the Little Dribbler, Little Digger, and Franklin Youth Baseball organizations and is an active member of Wheelock Methodist Church.
