Insurance & Financial Assistance

All patients welcome here

HealthPoint welcomes all patients, with or without insurance. We accept most insurance plans, and if you’re uninsured or facing high out-of-pocket costs, our team can help you find financial assistance you may qualify for — including our sliding fee discount.

How financial assistance works

Financial assistance — like our sliding fee discount — is available to patients who qualify. Eligibility is simply the step where we check whether you qualify, based on your income and family size. It applies only to financial assistance, never to receiving care. Everyone is welcome at HealthPoint.

Insurance We Accept

Most plans accepted.

HealthPoint accepts Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP, CHIP Perinatal, and most private insurance plans. HealthPoint participates in local Medicaid plans and is a Texas Health Steps provider.

Patients with or without insurance may apply for HealthPoint’s Sliding Fee Discount Program. Eligibility is based on income and family size, and insured patients may receive help with eligible out-of-pocket costs when allowed by their insurance plan and applicable law.

Because insurance participation and benefits can change, please contact us before your appointment if you have questions about your coverage, payment options, or becoming a patient.

Fees & Sliding Fee Discounts

A sliding fee scale, built to help.

HealthPoint offers a Sliding Fee Discount Program, also called a sliding fee scale, to help make services more accessible. Your discount is based on your income and family size using the current HHS Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Patients without insurance, with insurance, or with high out-of-pocket costs may apply for a sliding fee discount. If you qualify, your cost for eligible HealthPoint services will be based on your sliding fee discount category.

Some services may have additional costs, such as medications, supplies, lab work, imaging, hospital care, or care from outside providers. Our staff can help you understand what costs to expect and what assistance may be available.

HealthPoint is not a free clinic, but no one will be denied care because they cannot pay.

Applying for a sliding fee discount is quick, confidential, and handled by our Eligibility and Enrollment Specialists.

Financial Assistance & Benefits Support
