Meet Vermicker Smith, PNP-C – Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at HealthPoint – College Station – ABC Clinic
Vermicker Smith, PNP-C, is a Board-Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who serves patients at HealthPoint’s College Station – ABC Clinic in College Station. She brings over 20 years of pediatric nursing experience, driven by a lifelong passion for caring for children—sparked by her own childhood hospitalization.
Vermicker began her career in the Pediatric/Cardiac ICU at Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital in Orlando. She later worked with heart surgeons at Texas Children’s Hospital, where she co-developed a thoracic program for children with structural chest deformities. Her dedication to continuity of care brought her into pediatric primary care and urgent care, eventually leading her to HealthPoint’s mission-focused FQHC model.
“I’ve always believed in addressing root causes. Preventive care is how we prevent major issues—and everyone deserves access to that. That’s why I chose to serve our underserved population through HealthPoint.”

When she’s not caring for patients, Vermicker runs a fitness studio and teaches Kintortion. She enjoys gardening, roller skating, attending Texans games, and living her mermaid dreams anywhere there’s clear blue water. She shares her home with a toy poodle and a Lab/Pit mix.
